WELCOME TO IN THEIR LITTLE SHOES a Child Refugee Journey

In the U.S. and around the world, there is often great misunderstanding about refugees.

How do people become refugees? Why do they flee? What are the challenges that they face? The Syrian war alone has forcibly displaced more than 77% of the population. Almost 6 million children have been born into war in Syria and 1 million born as refugees in neighboring countries.

Even more shocking – there are more than 100 million forcibly displaced people worldwide.

This is why Save the Children brings In Their Little Shoes: A Child Refugee Experience to corporations like yours. Our goal is to increase awareness – and generate much-needed funds – for children displaced by war or conflict. Thanks to the generosity of individual donors and corporate partners, we’re able to provide lifesaving supplies and services and tend to children’s physical and psychological needs. We set up safe places for children in crisis to learn and play – critical for child development. We have delivered essential help and hope to 4.2 million Syrians – including 2.6 million children.

Save the Children is doing whatever it takes for refugee children of Syria, so they can have what every child deserves – a future.

Please note that video footage featured throughout this program was captured pre-COVID-19. Since the earliest days of the COVID-19 pandemic we’ve been on the front lines to protect children around the world.
