WELCOME TO IN THEIR LITTLE SHOES A CHILD REFUGEE EXPERIENCE

What is a refugee? A refugee is a person who has been forced to leave their home in order to escape war, persecution or violence. The Syrian war alone has forcibly displaced more than 77% of the population. Almost 6 million children have been born into war in Syria and 1 million born as refugees in neighboring countries.

Save the Children works with partners on the ground inside Syria and in host countries to ensure children are safe, cared for and learning. Thanks to the generosity of our partners and support from individuals like you, we are preventing children of war from being a lost generation… and giving them hope for the future.
